5 ways to enhance your master bedroom
With so many sales going on right now, why not take advantage and spruce up the most forgotten room in your home, the Master Bedroom! Let's face it, we spend 1/3 of our lives sleeping. While we're sleeping, we're not admiring our bedroom furniture or nicely organized closets but they're the first things we encounter when we wake up and the last thing we see when we go to bed. A cluttered and drab space is no way to start the day. So let's look at some ways to create a Master Bedroom that radiates tranquility and good vibes from the second you enter or open your eyes!
1. I recommend keeping higher priced items (beds and dressers) more neutral and then working in the pops of color and prints in the accessories. That way when you're ready for a change, you can achieve the new look at a lower price point. Think deep red pillows during the Holidays and pale blues and blushes in the spring. Your overall vibe in your room can change throughout the year by not having to replace the big ticket items! Here is an example of the same room decorated three different ways.
2. I always encourage clients to find that one piece that speaks to them. Maybe its a canopy bed, maybe is an area rug. You need to find that piece you want to build off of and emanate throughout the space.

3: Add or change up lighting!

4. Window treatments are a quick and relatively inexpensive way to dress up a space and add style. If you opt for curtains, be sure to hand high and wide rather than right above the window. Don't be scared to layer your window treatments. Matchstick shades with curtains or louvered shutters topped with a chic valance. And remember to take curtains to the floor!

5. Add an accent wall!
