3 years in the making....

This photo was taken right around that time I got the itch... you know that feeling that you've got just a little more to give? My oldest, Beau, had just turned ONE {my Halloween baby}. It had been a year since I had left the workforce to take on my dream "job" of becoming a stay at home mom. And number TWO was just below that peplum waist belt (see above picture)! I sat back that weekend in October of 2017 and said out loud to my husband, Kevin, "I think I want to start my own business".... He smiled... that smile of... "go on" but was probably really wanting to say.. "have you lost your mind!". He heard me out, told me to create a business plan, and we will see where things go from there. He recommended I jot down a list the things I love to do and what I can bring to the table when it comes being a successful entrepreneur:

So my list began:

1. I love working with people. Prior to staying at home I was the social worker at Ronald McDonald House of Delaware. Nothing made me happier than listening to my clients, making a "plan of action", and fulfilling their needs and connecting them to resources.

2. I love simplifying life. Whether it be making a space more functional, creating a spreadsheet to better manage your home, or organizing a closet- they all make for a streamlined, simplified way to live that decreases stress and increases happiness.... who doesn't love that!?

3. I love finding the beauty in a space that hasn't been found yet! Some see headaches, I see potential. Every home has it... some just take a little patience and a creative eye to see it through. Event spaces are blank canvasses.... for some that's debilitating, for me that's intriguing.

4. I love being my own boss!!!! Lets face it... I'm a stay at home mom so I'm use to running the show. If I was going to push my limits a little... I wanted to do it for a passion of my own. I knew this would be my creative outlet that was just mine.... a little escape from the beautiful chaos that you're living in as a SAHM.

5. I love following my gut. Something told me to go for it. If I failed, I would revamp it. If I needed to pull back, I could do that. But I knew I had to follow my gut.

Business plan.... ehhh... I did what I could based on what I remembered from 9th grade elective "Entrepreneur 101"... it was sub par to say the least....but I decided I would just put myself out there and see what happened.... and it happened! Craytive Solutions began to take shape. I have lots of fun projects in the pipeline that make me excited about the future of my little side hustle.

So this is the beginning of the next phase... filling you in on life and work thats happened since October 2017 and everything that's still to come!

I figured I would finish with a few photos from present day.... after all they're my greatest achievements!

Thank you for joining me on my journey! Feel free to comment below and let me know what you think so far... and what you can't wait to see more of!
